Merry Christmas Everyone

December 26th Thursday 2024, 12:07 PM

In times like these, we often forget to remember what the season truly represents and stands for. I believe Christmas is far more important than we realize. We get lost in the commercialization of the festivity; that isn't the spirit of Christmas. It should be a time of love, sharing, speaking to our loved ones, and most importantly, giving thanks for what we have achieved throughout the year.

Most times, we are caught up in the "new year, new me" fanfare/bandwagon, talking about what we plan to achieve in the new year while forgetting to acknowledge all that we have achieved in the present. Remember that December 25th is a golden opportunity.

December 25th is the 359th day of the year - surely we ought to have achieved something. Even if we think we haven't done anything worthy, remember 1 Thessalonians 5:18 says "In everything give thanks." So I urge us today, brethren, let's remember to call and reach out to our loved ones, give to the needy, give thanks, and most importantly, celebrate Christ, for He is the reason for the season. I hope we meet again another year round.
